DJ MIX COMPETITION

Want to open for Eliminate at DNA Lounge?

The Mixpression Team is calling on up-and-coming talent to showcase their skills, with the opportunity to land a gig at our show on January 24, 2020. You will have the chance to open for two of bass music's rising talents: Eliminate and Carbin.

The deadline to submit your mix is Saturday, January 11 at 11:59pm PST. The winner will be announced on January 17th. Please see below for eligibility and terms + conditions.

HOW TO ENTER

Disclaimer: please follow ALL directions carefully. Failure to comply with the directions will result in a disqualification of your submission.

STEP 1: RECORD A MIX AND UPLOAD IT TO SOUNDCLOUD.

  1. Prepare a 15-20 minute mix. Please do not exceed the 20 minute allotment. Musically, this should fit with Eliminate's ethos.

  2. Upload the mix to SoundCloud, adding the full tracklist.

  3. You must name your mix - Mixpression x Eliminate Mix Competition: 'Your DJ Name'

STEP 2: TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

  1. Follow Mixpression on Facebook, Instagram and Soundcloud.

  2. Post your SoundCloud mix link in the event page's contest thread.

  3. Have your friends share, like, and comment on your post. Create some buzz around your submission!

STEP 3: FILL OUT THE SUBMISSION FORM

Judging

Entries that meet our criteria above will be listened to in full and judged by the Mixpression team. Entrants are encouraged to promote their mix through their social media channels. Our select panel will judge the mixes based on:​

  • Technical ability

  • Originality and creativity

  • Track selection and curation

  • Social media buzz around your mix

Terms & Conditions

Important information:

The Competition is open to all US residents aged 18 years or over.

In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to claim any prize you may win. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter this Competition.

 

The prize:
1. The main prize is as follows:
(a) The winner will play a set at the opening slot held at the DNA Lounge main room on Friday, January 24th 2020. The set will be (at maximum) 45 minutes long.
(b) 3 complimentary guest-list tickets.
2. The prizes are not negotiable or transferable. There is no cash alternative and Mixpression reserves the right to substitute the prize or any element thereof with a prize of equal or greater value or to decline to award the Prize if there are no entries of the necessary standard in the reasonable opinion of the judges.

 

Winner announcement and claiming prize:
The winner will be notified by the Mixpression team, and from there will be given further details in order to claim the prize. Please note that the winner will need to provide a valid ID to claim their prize.

 

Warranties and indemnity:
You hereby warrant and confirm that:
(a) You have the authority to enter into this agreement with Mixpression and to grant the rights granted;
(b) You are not subject to any other agreement which will or might conflict with this agreement;
(c) Where you are entering on behalf of yourself and others, that you have the full right and authority to bind the others as well as yourself;
(d) The entries submitted by you do not contain any uncleared samples and do not infringe the rights of any third party; and(e) All information provided by you is complete and accurate.
